  1. Back to the classics.

A hired killer, played by Chow Yun Fat, accidentally blinds a young nightclub singer during what is desired to be his last contract job. After getting to know the young victim, he falls in love with her and accepts another contract to help fund for her cornea surgery. Without the surgery, he learns she might be blind for the rest of her life. However, a ruthless cop brings the law and is determined to take down the assassin for good.

The film is a glorious bullet swaping feature from director John Woo, who brings the two main characters into an enviroment where the bad can seem good. The roles of the two intervene and strongly play against each other to bring one of Chow Yun Fat's most memorable presentations.

The film brings Catholic imagery and redemption themes which offers the notion for those who know that in order to have good, one must do bad or evil. The idea breaks down to bring audiences one of the most memorable and noteable scenes of all time. The church layout leaves an impression, one in which that has a lasting impact.

Years have passed, but almost all who have loved Asian cinema always seem to remember The Killer. Many have loved and shared this movie with others; which helped carried the film over the decade.

The final words that best describe the film, timeless, unforgettable, and truly a classic.
